前もって対象技術への影響が予想される技術のみにより構成された実験用環
境を利用して検証が行われている場合が多い．
しかし，
現在のインターネットをはじめとする実環境に存在する要素は多様かつ複雑
であり，要素間にどのような関連があるのかを前もって予想することは困難
である．
したがって，
ネットワーク実験においては，
検証対象以外の要素が発生するトラフィックが検証対象の要素にどのような
影響を与えるかをも検証する必要がある．
我々は，実機を利用した検証に注目し，
検証対象以外の要素が発生するトラフィック，
すなわちバックグラウンドトラフィックを発生させるため，
多数のノード上で実環境用のソフトウェアアプリケーションを起動するため
のプラットフォームであるXBurnerを提案している．
本論文では，XBurnerの実装および，
トラフィック生成例を述べる．
summary: | Researches for evaluating methodologies for network technologies is
one of current hot topics.
In order to evaluate a network technology,
experimenters build an environment for experiment consist of
elements that seems to have relationships to the target technologies.
However,
there are various elements on current real environments such as the
Internet,
and it is too complex to estimate relationships between target and
surrounding elements before the target runs on real environments.
Thus,
traffic derived from surrounding elements of target elements is also
important.
We designed XBurner to generate ``native'' background traffic from
surrounding elements by utilizing actual network software for real
environments.
In this paper,
we describe the implementation of XBurner and show examples of
generating traffic by utilizing a XBurner platform.
