Title: On the Nature of Network Experiments ---Issues to Automate Network Experiments---, Author(s): Toshiyuki Miyachi(miyachi@nict.go.jp), Shinsuke Miwa, Ken-ichi Chinen, Yoichi Shinoda Date: 2008-12-1 x-wide-wgnames: Deep Space One keywords: Network Experiment, Network Testbed, Network Simulator references: summary_ja: | summary: | Today, the changes and additions to services on the Internet must be tested for certain level of correctness before they are actually deployed. So many approaches are proposed to make network experiments. We describe the nature of network experiments, i.e., the elements that constitute them, and the relationships between stages in developing the technologies and the experiments themselves. There are three phases in evaluating network technologies: planning, execution and analysis. The inputs and outputs for all three phases are related, i.e., by clearly specifying the outputs and inputs, experiments can be executed fully automatically. We describe these phases and the possibility of supporting for them and the inputs. misc: % - 査読ありのコンファレンス・ワークショップ等 @inproceedings{mya:testcom2008, author = "Toshiyuki Miyachi and Shinsuke Miwa and Ken-ichi Chinen and Yoichi Shinoda", title = "On the Nature of Network Experiments ---Issues to Automate Network Experiments---", booktitle = "The 20th IFIP Int.
